INTUITIVE EATING

“What it isn’t all about: just eating anything with no focus on self-care, nutrition or health. Quite the opposite, it’s about introspective awareness, identifying obstacles to responsiveness, body respect, taking notice of feelings and emotions with better coping tools to support health through self-care, nutrition and physical activity!” – Frances Healer, Pilates RD

Our courses support your own health from a weight inclusive approach, the framework of Intuitive Eating is used to guide you through establishing a healthier relationship with food, self care and your body image.

The courses we deliver is based on the use of motivational interviewing, improved self awareness and responsiveness. With a compassionate and sustainable health behaviour focus which incorporates nutrition, movement and self-care for health and mental wellbeing.

"I had a very dysfunctional relationship with food, the journaling was really helpful through the intuitive eating process to support the goals I wanted to achieve, working with Frances through the process of I.E was fantastic, she was very supportive. I would say that the process is not a quick fix and requires work. I feel less stressed around food, the guilt when I ate something “naughty” has gone. It has freed me from the hold that disordered eating had over me."

Ditch the Diet Individual Course Intro Intuitive Eating

What Intuitive eating is not – yet another FAD or weight loss method.

What Intuitive eating is- a self-care eating framework, which integrates internal awareness, identifying emotions, and recognising unhelpful food rules or thoughts about food.

This process was created by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch.

The purpose of intuitive eating is to work with the our bodies signals and eat in a way that rediscovers the satisfaction and identifies the awareness of what foods feel good and the gentle nutrition approach to support health.

This course goal of intuitive eating is not to produce weight loss, but to provide a sustainable lifestyle change that allows you to have a deeper understanding of what foods feel good and we gain enjoyment but also the ability to recognise what foods nourish the body for health.
